Eve and Pandora are well-known archetypes for the female identity. Their roles in mythology symbolize a moment of Change. Change from a timeless, unaware, unchanging existence in Innocence, to the cycle of life, linear time, strife, pain, joy, awareness of difference. In the sense of the individual life, they stand as the awakening of individuality, and particularly, the awakening of sexuality. In a passive or agressive, silly or malicious way, Eve and Pandora are embedded in our culture as female symbols of this change.

This series of drawings explore, in a light-hearted way, different moments of private discovery between a girl and her apple or box.
